Mission statement: to broaden our perspective and deepen our understanding of the world we live in by discovering the peoples, cultures and histories of other lands.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of World to the Wise Cultural Tours, we are offering not one but TWO tours in the first half of 2020!

June 2020

Italy June 3-10 (depart US on Tuesday, June 2)

Lausanne / Paris June 10 – 17 (depart US on Thursday, June 9)

Entire journey: June 2-17

World to the Wise Cultural Tours presents an unforgettable trek through three of the most enchanting countries in Europe!

ITALY – Who hasn’t dreamed of roaming the Tuscan countryside, marveling at Michelangelo’s David, the famous Duomo (cathedral) and the other treasures of Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance? Or imagining the days of ancient Rome while standing in the Coliseum or gazing up at the majesty of St. Peter’s Basilica? Or sampling a different gelato flavor every day? Or making such fast friends with the Italians that you won’t want to leave? 7 nights

LAUSANNE and PARIS – A brief stay in the picturesque city of Lausanne, Switzerland will give you a taste of this gem on the north shores of Lake Geneva. Set among rolling hills covered in vineyards and looking at the majestic Alps across the lake, Lausanne was home to the Durhams for a number of years. They’ll be sure you sample what Switzerland is famous for: cheese and chocolate!

Paris, the City of Lights, has probably inspired more songs and literature than any other city. Notre Dame Cathedral, the Eiffel Tower, Musée d’Orsay, Montmartre with its artists’ square, the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysées...not to mention the obligatory sidewalk cafés, croissants, pastries, baguettes, cheese... (Oops, got a little side-tracked there....) We’ll include a side trip to the magical tidal island of Mont-Saint-Michel, as well as the gardens of artist Claude Monet in the Norman village of Giverny. And we think you’ll be surprised by the openness and friendliness of the French! Lausanne and Paris: 7 nights
